Today I’m teaming up with Plant Therapy to speak about something I know and love .. Aromatherapy.
We are giving away a Relaxation Synergy Set to one lucky reader! This set contains three remarkable oils with therapeutic properties to help evoke calm alertness, physical relaxation, and to relax mentally to get you in a calm state of mind so you will feel more at ease. The essential oils are easy to use and benefit your overall health and well being.
So go ahead, take a moment and just relax.
Did you know essential oils aren’t really oils ? They are actually concentrated elements of the plant itself and it takes hundreds of plants to make each oil. People have been using essential oils for healing, relaxation, and disinfection since ancient times. Essentials oils are employed in many ways including cosmetic and skin care products like DIY face scrubs and masks, body treatments, and used by trained practitioners for the purpose of clinical healing and spiritual support.
Start Your Day
My morning routine includes a few drops of eucalyptus or cedar in my diffuser . Eucalyptus feels energizing and seems to have an awakening effect. Cedar just smells good and reminds me of cedar-lined drawers in the winter:)
For the evening I enjoy a blend of oils for relaxation that help me slow down and rest after a long day.
You only need to use a few drops in your diffuser or on a tissue to enjoy the aromatic benefits. Keep in mind if it’s strong enough to help ~ it could potentially be strong enough to harm so make sure you have done your research prior to using your oils. Recently I learned that if you’d like to add an essential oil to your bath, you will need to add a bubble bath or “carrier” oil to help disperse your essential oil properly.

Plant Therapy recommends diffusing for 30 minutes and then turning off your diffuser for 60 minutes to allow your body to enjoy the benefits of aromatherapy with out over-doing it.
Plant Therapy ~ “Using essential oils and extracts is generally safe, however Plant Therapy strongly encourage users to become familiar with the appropriate role of aromatherapy to create realistic expectations, as well as safe practices to prevent potential adverse reactions”.
