Last weekend we took advantage of the sunshine and drove to Mount Vernon to see the last of the tulips. This is an anual family event and it’s well worth the drive. This year it seemed like the tulips were bigger than ever and the colors were gorgeous!
This white midi is made super soft and is sure to be a summer staple. I love the ruffle on the top, tassel ties, and of course the off-shoulder look!
As seasons change, so does our make up. Time to add a bronzer and shimmer to your cheeks and choose soft color for around the eyes. Here are a few great options!
This palette by Charlette Tilbury is a basic for spring and summer. You can layer to increase intensity or brush on a couple of quick strokes for a little bit of color. Make sure to use a light touch and blend, blend, blend. My favorite blending brush for shadow is this one by Kjaer Weiss.
We all know about Bobbi Brown’s Shimmer Brick Compact and it’s one that I go back to time and time again. A light sweep on the apples of your cheeks gives you just the right amount of shimmer for a sun-kissed glow.
Defining the eyes with liquid liner takes practice however once mastered :) it’s quick, easy, and a fun way to change up your look. Sometimes I’ll apply a pencil liner ( my favorite is by Terry ) to the water line to make my eyes pop. It’s soft, goes on easily, and doesn’t irritate my eyes. Bobbi Brown cream eye liner in a pot is a great choice if you want a softer line around the eyes and compared to a liquid liner, it’s much easier to apply. A liner brush and will help creat a soft, more smudgey line around the eyes.
